What is a Squeeze Page or Capture Page and why it’s so important

Squeeze pages (also known as capture pages) are vitally important when it comes to internet marketing. If you already know what a squeeze page is, go ahead and read another post 😛

However, if you are a little unsure, you must keep reading.

Squeeze pages are extremely important to your online business. Please refer to the post about how to split test and optimize squeeze pages if you want to learn more.

To put it simply:

[su_quote]A squeeze page is a one page website that is designed to “Squeeze” or “Capture” your prospects’ emails.[/su_quote]

The reason why we use it is because we want to build a list so that we can market to our prospects at a later point in time.

How is it different from using random emails you find in the yellow pages and sending them messages?

Well, by having a squeeze page, we are asking for their consent to mail and market to them further. Of course, they will always have the option to opt out if they aren’t interested in what you have to offer.

An important note to remember is, the squeeze is usually the first point of contact between you and the prospect. So we can also use a squeeze page to ‘pre-sell’ information to our audience to increase conversions.

Here is an example of a squeeze page:

As you can see, it is a very simple page that offers something of value in exchange for the prospect’s email. This is also known as a lead magnet.

Since emails are considered personal, no one is going to simply plug in their email information without any consideration. It’s like giving away your phone number to a complete stranger you haven’t talked to before.

That’s pretty much all about squeeze pages in a nut shell.

Remember, it is simply a one page website that serves TWO MAIN PURPOSES:

  1. To capture leads
  2. To pre-sell information

That being said, this easy step here can turn into a disastrous nightmare if you DO NOT have the correct tools and resources. Almost everyone wants to make money, but a lot of people refuse to invest in tools to make their life a lot easier and their marketing experience a lot more profitable.

That’s why I highly recommend you invest in yourself and increase your chances of success.
